Residence Krkonošská

The residential building was built in 1927 for officials of the former state railways and the layout corresponded to the requirements of the time. In the years 2008-2013, the house underwent a very expensive complete reconstruction, and only the perimeter masonry with the preserved architectural elements of the facade, characteristic of the time, remained of the original house. We also managed to renovate the original stair arms with metal railings, creating an interesting dominant element inside the house. Everything else has been replaced by new technologies and sustainable materials. The floor plans of the individual apartments were completely changed and additional living spaces were built in the attic. During the entire reconstruction, emphasis was placed on the unchanging character of the building.  We made sure that the house fit into the urban planning of the surrounding houses and the overall local concept of urban apartment buildings of the First Republic.
